Australian couriering and logistics franchise PACK & SEND reported four consecutive quarters of record sales and profit growth for the financial year ending June 2015, buoyed by the increase in parcel volumes distributed by the company.

Domestic shipping volumes increased by 10.03 per cent, while international shipments (including import and export) jumped 35.51 per cent. This resulted in the combined operating profit for the franchise network increasing in FY2015 by 7% on the previous year.

Michael Paul, CEO of PACK & SEND, said the record breaking sales and profits for the franchise network is a result of the brand adapting to a changing world where more goods are being sent than ever before due to ecommerce.

"Our strategy is now all about giving our customers the power of more choice by putting ourselves where they expect us to be - in multiple sales channels - with a vast network of convenient Retail Service Centres, Logistics Fulfilment Centres, our Call Centre, Online Courier Booking systems and Online Retail Integrations. "We are focused on what we do best, building assets at the customer interface that adds value to our supplier freight and parcel services. This gives us the flexibility to meet the growing demand of complete solutions in sending anything, anywhere."

The growth shows no signs of slowing, with PACK & SEND recording its biggest month for sales revenue in the company's history in July 2015. Such continued growth for PACK & SEND is supported by recent economic reports which show that online retail in Australia is continuing to boom.

Growth in online retail sales has increased 9 per cent to $16.6 billion in the year ended January 2015 according to the NAB Online Retail Sales Index1, leading to a surge in demand for couriering and logistics services for corporate and small businesses.

Despite the strong growth, Paul says PACK & SEND is not becoming complacent. "We are currently shifting into another gear of innovation and improvement in order to stay ahead of the curve. We're continuing to invest in the future with new technology and systems allowing us to engage with more customers and leverage opportunities in more markets". PACK & SEND recently launched the integration of its automated online self-service parcel delivery system (PowerSender) with the eBay website. The innovative platform assists eBay sellers in calculating courier costs, listing and printing labels for international and domestic parcel shipments.
