The Block Monopoly takes over Moorabbin!

the block 5Greg & Danielle from our PACK & SEND Moorabbin store have always loved watching The Block on Channel 9 every Sunday night. So, you can imagine their excitement and surprise when a representative from The Block Shop entered their Service Centre at Moorabbin back in 2017 to enquire about delivering prizes for customers as part of a promotion for The Block TV show.

Greg & Danielle had no troubles providing a safe packaging and shipping solution to get the items to the lucky winners quickly. The customer was so happy with the competitive quote and expert packing and shipping job that word of mouth quickly got around between other members of the team.

Sheena Boys, Executive Assistant for The Block at Nine Network was coordinating a major job for the upcoming promotion “The Block – Monopoly 2018”. She had heard about the excellent job that our Moorabbin store had done from her colleague and contacted Greg and Danielle to help.

PACK & SEND Moorabbin submitted a tender to take on this major project and were very excited when they secured the right to be one of two companies to deliver The Block Monopoly to thousands of fans across the country.

Batches, sometimes numbering in the hundreds were coming in weekly and each game had to be picked up, bubbled wrapped, boxed, taped and labelled before being dispatched to each recipient direct from PACK & SEND Moorabbin Service Centre.

Over the course of The Block season they hand wrapped, packaged and coordinated delivery of approx. 4000 of The Block – Monopoly’ games.

Each game had a gold ticket inside with a chance for the recipient to go into the draw to win The Block main prize – a renovated apartment from the TV show.

Being such a top secret and sensitive job, the team at PACK & SEND Moorabbin had to ensure a level of privacy for every aspect of the project. The packages needed to be kept hidden so that eagle eyed fans didn’t find out where the games were being held and dispatched from.

As the job was time critical, each game was picked up and dispatched by specific batch numbers and labelled accordingly, usually packed overnight for shipment early the next day!

Greg and Danielle had project managed the job so well that eventually it was handed to them solely to complete the entire project on a national scale.

Even though the job took up the whole store with boxes piled high they worked tirelessly just like the teams on the block to get the job done! Nothing too hard for this team!
