The cut-off date for final registrations for the PACK & SEND Small Business Logistics Grant is fast approaching, and we are so excited by the calibre of small businesses that have entered so far.

It’s amazing to see the variety of applicants – we’ve had entries across industries from health and wellbeing to electronics and technology, food and beverage, art and culture, recreation and fitness, and fashion.

What’s so interesting is the commitment of these small businesses to the development of their community, and the ways in which they want to give back. With ABS figures revealing that Australia is home to more than 2.1 million small businesses employing 4.7 million Australians, it’s opportunities like the PACK & SEND Small Business Logistics Grant that have the potential to not only support the lucky winner, but have a positive influence on the community at large.

Rachel March is the founder and stylist of Newcastle-based online creative platform Tuesday Vintage, where she showcases the innovative work of herself and other creatives alike, while doubling as an e-commerce store selling unique fashion forward vintage pieces.

The significance of the PACK & SEND Small Business Logistics Grant prize package that includes $10,000 worth of parcel and freight services and a three month business mentorship with Hannah Staples, co-founder of Peppermint Grove Australia, is something that Rachel recognises as a way to help her business help others.

“I’m ready to take my business to the next level. If I did win this grant it could help me do just that. I have contemplated studying or getting a loan and the truth is, I don't really need that. I need guidance. I want to give back to the creative community here in Newcastle. Yes, it will help me to grow my business but I want to help others grow theirs too. I think this grant could be the start of something big for me and I have goose bumps thinking about what I could do with it and for other people.”

If you have big dreams like Rachel and haven’t already entered your business into the PACK & SEND Small Business Grant, there’s still time! Apply online atwww.packsend.com.au/small-business-logistics-grant  – but get in quick, applications are only open until 23 December 2016.

Good luck!
